Science isn't just a body of (ever-changing) knowledge, but a creative truth seeking procedure. Starting from this, I help students shift from thinking of material as isolated facts to ideas connected through core concepts. Once this clicks, learning biology can become intuitive; when information scaffolds naturally upon layers of understanding, new material is be easier to understand and remember.
We can start with whatever you're working on and figure out why something isn't making sense. I am good at identifying roadblocks to understanding and finding creative, personalized ways around them; I'll connect material to larger ideas so it sticks for you. I will help help with homework, test preparation, lab reports, and study design.

Perfect! Casey was an angel and was available at the last minute to help my 9th grader. She stayed for a couple/few hours to make sure he understood the content (Biology) and to help make sure he got a difficult assignment finished. 10/10 recommend!
