About Alison
Hi, I'm Alison — PhD scientist, and published researcher.
I hold a PhD in Biogeoscience from Sorbonne Université (Paris), an MSc in Palaeobiology from the University of Bristol (UK), and bachelor's degrees in Earth & Environmental Science (BSc) and Anthropology (BA) from CUNY's Brooklyn College (USA). My research has been published in leading international journals, and I've presented at conferences across the UK, Europe, and the US.
I've supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students on topics from comparative anatomy and environmental interpretation to scientific writing and research methodology. I believe that learning is most effective in a supportive and encouraging environment and, having benefited from tutoring myself during my undergraduate studies, I know how much difference a little extra support can make.
