About Stephanie
I’m a PhD student in Adult Education at the University of Toronto, with a background in research, community development, and academic writing. I have two bachelor's degrees. One in Political Science the other in Community Development. I also have a Master of Arts in Adult Education and Community Development. I've won multiple provincial (OGS) and national (SSHRC) awards and grants.
I have over eight years of experience supporting students in higher education — including thesis development, grant writing, research design, and structured writing support. My academic work focuses on learning, labor, and community systems, which means I deeply understand how students think, write, and struggle inside institutions.

My academic coaching sessions are structured, practical, and tailored to your specific goals.
Each session is focused on moving your work forward in a tangible way. We begin by clarifying your immediate priority (an upcoming paper, thesis chapter, proposal, or application), then create a focused plan for the session.
Depending on your needs, we may:
• Break down an assignment and build a clear structure
• Strengthen your thesis statement and argument
• Organize a literature review
• Clarify research questions or methodology
• Edit for clarity, flow, and academic voice
• Develop a realistic work plan and timeline
• Build systems for focus, time management, and accountability
I work collaboratively — not just correcting writing, but helping you understand why changes improve clarity and strength. The goal is long-term skill development, not just a polished paper.
Students leave sessions with:
• Clear next steps
• A stronger structure or revised section
• Greater confidence in their ideas
• A manageable plan to continue independently
I work with undergraduate students, graduate students, thesis writers, mature students, and neurodivergent learners who benefit from structure and executive function support.
