About Michael
During high school I was very lucky to have had some incredibly passionate teachers who genuinely cared about your progress and success. However, it was only when I started university studies that I truly appreciated the skill and effort required by my previous teachers. Unfortunately I found the majority of my university lectures to be sub par, as I realised that being an academic doesn’t necessarily make you a good teacher. During my current post as a teaching associate whilst completing my PhD I’ve been lucky enough to have taught my own classes and have since realised a passion for my work. I think anyone can be successful academically with the support of a good teacher so that is my motivation for teaching.

Naturally, I aim to make my content as accessible as possible. I am a huge believer in visual aids and try to visualise difficult concepts in order to give them a clear physical meaning. Once we have pinned down the meaning of individual concepts and built an understanding, then we move on to tutorial and exam style questions.
