About Brandon
I love working with students on an individual level. I have worked with undergraduate lab assistants, students attending my office hours as a Teaching Assistant, and other graduate students. I graduated with a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from NC State with honors in 2014. I have numerous publications on Solar Cell and LED materials including international conferences and articles in well-regarded journals such as the Journal of Applied Physics, Crystals, and Applied Physics Letters. I look forward to working with students online or in person and I will be happy to communicate depending on student needs!

I have taught students at a university level as a substitute professor for a senior level Electrical Engineering course. Additionally, I spent several years providing programming "boot camps" for National Instruments certifications. I encourage my students to reach out to me through shared spaces such as Discord or course messaging boards in order to promote student interactions. This method helps me learn how to effectively communicate at the level of my students via analogies, examples, demonstrations, and community interaction. I believe that teaching is the final step in fully understanding a subject, students are wonderful at finding a question I've never considered! Typical course load consisted of weekly homework with one scheduled hour-long office hour per week to help with assignment questions. I am currently very flexible with scheduling times, please feel free to contact me for any mathematics needs! I can teach all levels of mathematics through 2nd year calculus (typically 200-300 level courses) and I can provide help for many engineering classes in Materials, Electrical, and Computer engineering.

Perfect! Brenda did an excellent job of probing the students ability level and understanding. His approach of discussing a concept backing up to a more basic concept with the student fully understood, and then moving the student forward was very helpful and in increasing the students understanding. Highly recommend.
- Ian is doing really well! I think he has very little trouble with concepts and it will come down to working on practice problems. For next session we can focus on test material, after that I want to go through questions for Units 2 & 3 to see how well Ian can pick out the correct approach. If he can find the approach we can fine tune the methods for faster answers, otherwise we will back track on concepts until the approach becomes more intuitive. Get me those study materials for the test and I will see you next week!Brandon's response :
