About Layane
A bit about my background: I'm an experienced mathematics tutor with 6+ years of teaching experience. I have a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Master's in Aerospace Engineering. I am currently starting my PhD in Electrical Engineering. I've always had a passion for math, as it is the root and core of every science that exists nowadays.

My goal is to prepare students with a deep understanding of the topics they want to improve by solving exercises together, assigning meaningful homework, and explaining the real-life context around math problems to motivate the student. Math is the language of the universe, and just like with any other language: practice, practice, and practice. I believe anyone, with enough practice, can be fluent in math. I teach mathematics at high school level (Grades 6 to 12), undergraduate level, and Masters level for engineering programs. I have experience teaching various subjects including: - Algebra - Calculus - Geometry/Trigonometry - Topology - Differential Equations - Linear Algebra - Numerical Computing - Numerical Linear Algebra - Analysis - Probability theory and statistics Teaching methodology: 1 • I get to know the student and what they hope to achieve out of the lessons 2 • After around 2 sessions, I'll have familiarized myself with the way the student thinks, their weak and strong points. Each student has a unique way of thinking and processing information, and according to that, the lessons are customized to fit their respective needs. Note: Have your class notes, or lecture material ready and send it in advance of our sessions!

My daughter in high school has never liked math. Ms. Layane has been working with her for a couple of months now and long story short, she made my daughter love the subject. My daughter is always motivated now and looks forward to sessions with Layane.
