About Trish
I am a PhD student at Stony Brook University, where I study genetics and their connection to ALS in transgenic fruit flies. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering and served as a teaching assistant for first-year college students, as well as an SAT tutor in high school.

I remember struggling in class, especially with math, and visiting a tutor for help. Later, I received a 5 in the AP AB Calculus class. I then attended engineering school, earning a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology, where I was a teaching assistant for chemistry and tutored math. I learned that having an interactive learning experience and treating the lesson as an open practice session is the best approach.
