About BM
As a PhD Student in Nuclear Science and a Certified Data Scientist, I love the learning process. Many students come to me simply to rapidly improve their grades, which is certainly a worthwhile goal. However, I take great pleasure in helping students to begin to truly enjoy computer science.

My approach is simple, based on modern research on what activities best predict academic performance, as cited below. I have taken multiple students at GCSE and A-Level from below a passing grade to above an A/8. Across platforms I have a 100% 5 Star Rating, with over 400 sessions delivered for all major exam boards. My approach is to assign significantly more work than most tutors, which I then mark and provide high-quality feedback on leading to continual improvement week on week. The research cited below indicates that all other things being equal, the most effective thing a student can do, although not the easiest, is high volume high-quality practice with precise feedback. (Dunlosky et al., 2013) (Roediger & Karpicke, 2006) (Burk-Rafel et al., 2017)
