About Michael
During high school I was very lucky to have had some incredibly passionate teachers who genuinely cared about your progress and success. However, it was only when I started university studies that I truly appreciated the skill and effort required by my previous teachers. Unfortunately I found the majority of my university lectures to be sub par, as I realised that being an academic doesn’t necessarily make you a good teacher. During my current post as a teaching associate whilst completing my PhD I’ve been lucky enough to have taught my own classes and have since realised a passion for my work. I think anyone can be successful academically with the support of a good teacher so that is my motivation for teaching.

Naturally, I aim to make any of my content as accessible as possible and I do this via providing as much visual aid as possible. I believe visualisation is the most effective way to get to grips with difficult concepts. Once we have pinned the concepts down, we move on to completing example questions.
