About Jordan
I am a father of two sets(!) of twin boys, with a PhD in musicology. I have taught at the elementary, high-school, and university level, and I have grown to understand--my children ably demonstrated this--that everyone has a learning style of their own.
As the son of two English teachers, I had the foundations of vocabulary and grammar ingrained in me since early childhood. I have also had a long career in the military, and I recognize the kind of work required to reach an objective, whether physically, mentally, or academically.

I craft my lessons based on students' individual needs, to address the core challenges in their particular situations.
I assist in identifying the essential elements for creating projects such as essays, reports, or large research assignments, and I help to develop a plan to map out students' ideas in a logical fashion. I follow the most relevant writing style guidelines to enable a smooth and coherent narrative.
In lessons, we may perform tasks and exercises based on students' difficulties to help them be more comfortable with issues in language, grammar, form, and style.
Lessons are directed to high-school and university students of all levels.
