Hi, I’m Shweta – a passionate biotechnologist with over 10 years of experience in molecular biology, microbiology, and genetics. I hold a Master of Philosophy from AUT and have worked extensively as a teaching and research assistant at the university level. I specialize in helping high school and university students understand complex scientific concepts through clear, practical, and engaging lessons. Whether you need help with exam prep, lab skills, or academic writing, I tailor each session to your needs. Let’s make science simple and enjoyable together! Outside of science, I enjoy hiking, photography, and traveling, curiosity drives everything I do! Hi, I’m Shweta – a passionate and dedicated science educator with over 10 years of experience in teaching, research, and mentoring in biotechnology, microbiology, and molecular biology.
I hold a Master of Philosophy in Science from Auckland University of Technology, where I’ve also worked extensively as a Teaching and Laboratory Assistant for undergraduate courses like microbiology, molecular genetics, human anatomy and physiology, and more.
My teaching focuses on breaking down complex scientific concepts into simple, relatable ideas. I customise lessons to match each student’s learning style—whether you’re a visual learner, hands-on experimenter, or prefer structured explanations.
A typical lesson will be 60 minutes, which includes:
• Concept review & clarification
• Deep dive into new topics
• Practice problems/discussions
• Q&A and revision plan
