About Jose
I'm a trained photographer. I studied photography at the Academy of Visual Arts in Mexico City, and I'm passionate about portraiture and street (documentary) photography. I also taught for seven years at the Universidad Iberoamericana, instructing theory and practice at various levels. For me, photography goes beyond technique: it's a way of observing, understanding, and constructing a personal vision of the world through the camera.

The teaching methodology is practical, personalized, and flexible: we start from each student's level, interests, and goals to build a customized learning experience. Topics can be addressed comprehensively or in specific modules—combining practice, image analysis, and constant support to progress at your own pace. Some topics we can cover include: 1. Introduction to Photography: History and evolution of photography; Photographic references and language; Photography as a form of expression. 2. Technical Fundamentals: Camera operation; Exposure (ISO, shutter speed, aperture); Lenses, focus, and depth of field; Natural and artificial light. 3. Composition and Visual Narrative: Framing and composition; Color, form, and visual rhythm; Image construction and narrative. 4. Digital and Analog Photography: Digital workflow; Basic developing and editing; Introduction to analog processes. 5. Photographic Genres: Portrait; Documentary; Product/studio; Personal project. 6. Analysis and Practice: Image review; Visual references; Developing your own style; Final project or practical exercises.
