During my time as a student in my undergrad, I always had a complaint: why wouldn't teachers teach in a relaxing environment? Why is it so necessary to follow the rules and always stick to the book while teaching? Why can't we do a conversational and discussion session about the topic before diving into the book? Now that I have graduated and stepped into the practical world of teaching, I totally understand how difficult it could be to take that bold step of just taking the guidance from a book but actually teaching by linking real-life examples and making up interesting stories linked to the characteristics of the topic.
I, as a tutor, now focus on techniques and methods personalized to every student's need and what my student is lacking that I should focus on.
Whatever the topic is, I always start the lesson by asking an interesting question regarding the topic from my students and getting them involved fully in class, followed by the theoretical concepts taught using interesting and creative examples, linking them with imaginary characters to enhance their learning further. So anyone who is a medical student and who finds it difficult to understand concepts from books and notes should consider taking my class. Whether it's biology, science, or statistics, you can count on me.
