I am a dedicated tutor with a passion for helping young people unlock their confidence and achieve their potential in Maths and Science. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple steps and watching students build the skills they once believed were out of reach. I teach because I want every student—regardless of their background—to feel capable, supported and proud of their progress. I provide personalised online tutoring in Maths and Science for students Years 8–13, with a particular focus on building confidence, strengthening core skills, and improving exam performance. I have experience working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds and understand how to break down challenging topics into clear, manageable steps that support long-term progress. My lessons are typically 60 minutes and follow a structured, interactive format. I begin by checking prior knowledge, then introduce new content using simple explanations, visual examples and guided practice. I use active questioning, mini-assessments and exam-style problems throughout the session to check understanding and adapt my teaching in real time. I prioritise engagement, encouragement, and progress tracking, ensuring each student leaves the lesson with greater clarity and confidence. As a tutor, I create customised lesson plans and targeted practice materials based on each student’s ability, school curriculum and personal goals. I focus on improving problem-solving skills, exam technique and independent thinking, while building a positive and supportive learning environment.
