I am a nuclear physicist who moved to electronics/computer sciences soon after graduate school. My first career choice was teaching but the realities of life led me to pursue a career in industry using my analytical talents. I have successfully used my early training to build a successful career in the IT field.

I teach for understanding, not memorization. I insist on using first principles to arrive at logical solutions to problems. I believe it is more important to know WHERE and HOW to find information needed to solve problems than it is to have it memorized. With the rapidity of technological change factual knowledge becomes obsolete.
