I like to try to understand what are the obstacles that the student faces to understand the different subjects. This in abstract sounds very good, right? It's not just a nice phrase. For example, if the student's problem is that he finds the subject tedious and boring, we can use games and exercises, some storytelling and enthusiasm to improve his/her interest and improve the grades.
