Physics college graduate offering lessons for high school and college intro physics

I worked with Derek in high school in various volunteer opportunities. What always struck me about him was his unique way of capturing the attention of those he was working with. Not only is he very good at tailoring his teaching style to each individual, but he is also able to identify what exactly the student is struggling with, and what type of help they need. Derek is an excellent tutor and I am sure he will help you find interest in the subject you're learning, as well as excel in it!

I worked with Derek in various volunteer opportunities. He always had an amazing ability to make students feel very comfortable and confident about their skills, and find a way to make them interested in what they were doing.
Whether it be with a young child or with a peer, Derek has a very good grasp of understanding what exactly needs help with. We both taught piano to underprivileged children together and for a year, I watched as Derek tutored one of the girls with the program. She was very active and never really paid attention to what we were learning. Derek found a very specific way to motivate her and make her interested in piano. I was very surprised to see the student sitting eagerly and calmly at the piano ready to learn after Derek started working with her.
I would definitely recommend Derek for his unique ability to connect with students and teach them what they really need to know!
