About Kanvi
Hello! I’m Kanvi, a dedicated and experienced tutor with a strong academic background in physics and several years of hands-on teaching experience. I’ve supported students from a wide range of abilities, helping them grow in confidence and achieve their academic goals in maths and physics. Having worked my way up from tutor to Centre Manager at a leading tuition centre, I understand how to engage students, identify their learning needs, and deliver lessons that are both effective and enjoyable. I take pride in creating a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. As a physics graduate with over three years of tutoring experience, I tailor each lesson to suit the individual needs of my students. I believe in building strong foundations by breaking down complex topics into simple, relatable concepts, using real-world examples and visual aids to make learning more engaging. I typically begin each session with a quick recap to identify any gaps, followed by focused problem-solving and active questioning to build confidence and deepen understanding. I also help students develop effective study techniques and exam strategies to improve their performance independently. Lessons usually last 60 minutes, with flexibility based on the student's needs. I have worked with a wide range of learners aged 10–18, from those looking to catch up to those aiming for top grades at GCSE and A-Level. My experience as a Lead Instructor and Centre Manager at a well-established tuition centre has given me valuable insight into how to support students of all abilities.
