About Kaycee
I have spent a significant portion of the past four years of my undergraduate degree dealing with astronomical and astrophysical concepts in both an educational and personal setting. Astronomy and physics are truly fascinating subjects that exist as the pillars of my being, and I have a very profound passion for sharing this knowledge with others. Tutoring on the subject of astronomy/physics is a relatively new venue for me (as I have tutored once through SuperProf in the past), but one I intend to take to heart. Communication with my students and commitment to teaching said students to the best of my ability are my top priorities. Even if problems arise that challenge me, the teacher, my students, and I will seek out the answers to these queries together.

As a physics graduate student with an undergraduate degree in astrophysics, I understand how challenging astronomical and mathematical concepts can be. And as a former planetarium worker, I have experience enlightening others on astronomy concepts as well as answering audience queries to the best of my ability. As far as my teaching techniques/methods, I would like to utilize a student-specific style. Before beginning a tutoring session, I would like to establish exactly how the student learns, whether it be a visual, auditory, or alternate learning style. From there, creating a lesson specific to that learning style is my primary goal. I will also be providing alternate resources, such as videos and websites that can assist students during the learning process. My journey as a tutor is just beginning, but with my academic experience/expertise, former planetarium position, and vast quantity of qualified professors in close proximity, I feel as though I am up to the challenge. My tutoring sessions are required to be virtual, as I work from my college campus. Tutoring sessions would be optimal for middle school to high school-aged students dealing with entry-level astronomy coursework.
