About Miranda
I am a 22 year old graduate. I love learning more about mathematics and physics. At the moment, I am taking a gap year, and tutoring is a great way of staying in touch with the subjects I love, whilst helping others to pursue them.
I feel that I have a knack for explaining difficult concepts. I have a logical mind, and this aids me in breaking down theory step by step and helping others to learn. I love the feeling of helping others to achieve a breakthrough in their understanding of new concepts in physics and mathematics.
My other interests include reading, playing guitar and piano, travelling, cooking and spending time with friends and family.

I received 625 CAO points in my Leaving Certificate in 2018, including H1's in Physics and Mathematics. I received a first class honours degree in Physics and Mathematics in July 2021.
I have given Junior and Leaving Certificate grinds in Mathematics and Physics. I worked as a tutor in my second and third year at University, tutoring first year college students in Mathematics, Physics and Logic.
My approach to tutoring is student-centred. I explore the topic of choice with the student, observe their learning style and points of difficulty, and tailor my lessons to their needs. When it comes to exercises, I focus on teaching general methods to approaching the exercise, as well as working step-by-step through specific problematic exercises to identify gaps in their knowledge of the required theory and work on filling these gaps.
I offer anything from 30 minute to 90 minute one-on-one sessions to Junior Certificate, Leaving Certificate and University Level students.
