About Abhimanyu
While at West Point, I studied Physics 1 and 2 (Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Basic AC/DC Circuitry) and Modern Physics - of course, alongside other gen ed courses. During my three semesters, I was the cadet in charge of running tutoring sessions for students studying mechanics (Physics 1). I’ve had experience teaching a class of 20-30 cadets as well as working independently with cadets on specific problems. I was also in charge of running tutoring sessions for cadet athletes who may have missed classes for meets and other events. Besides Physics, I’ve tutored at sessions for Computer Science (Python), Calculus 1 and 2, Differential Equations, and Multivariable Calculus. I also volunteered at local middle schools near West Point to tutor students in math (which mostly covered algebra, geometry, and statistics). I can also help with prep for entrance exams - I’ve taken both the SAT and ACT and scored a 780 on SAT Math and 36 on ACT Math.

I make my best efforts to meet you at your level of understanding as well as explain concepts holistically focusing on cause and effect rather than turning you to standard reference sheet equations and memorization. I like to focus on two things -(1) Practice with standard problems that will appear in your classes so that you’re ready to perform, but also (2) proper understanding of the content so you develop an appreciation for Physics. Which one of the two is more important depends entirely on your situation and what you’re preparing for and I can prioritize either one
