About Jagraj
I’m a tutor who genuinely enjoys helping people make sense of complex ideas. I've learned that real understanding doesn’t come from memorising formulas, it comes from breaking things down and connecting them to the real world. That’s the mindset I bring to every lesson. I’ve worked with students of different ages and confidence levels, from those struggling to keep up to those aiming for top grades. My focus is always on helping them understand why something works, not just how. Once that clicks, everything else follows naturally. My lessons are calm, structured, and tailored to the individual. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building genuine confidence in their ability to learn. Tutoring isn’t just about passing exams, it’s about changing how students see the subject and themselves.

Approach to Tutoring and Teaching My approach is tailored, structured, and results-focused. I start by identifying each student’s current level, learning style, and goals. From there, I design lessons that build conceptual understanding first, followed by practice and real-world application. I prioritise clarity and engagement; students should not just memorise information but understand why it works. Techniques and Methodology I use a mix of step-by-step explanations, visual aids, and problem-based learning. I encourage active participation through questions and examples that relate to the student’s interests or coursework. I also assign short, targeted exercises between sessions to reinforce key skills and track progress. My teaching style is conversational and adaptive — I adjust pacing and depth depending on the student’s confidence and grasp of the topic. Lesson Length Lessons typically last 60 to 120 minutes, depending on the subject and the student’s focus level. Longer sessions are available for exam preparation or intensive revision. Qualifications and Experience I have a Masters degree in Physics and extensive experience tutoring students from GCSE to university level. I’ve helped learners improve their exam performance, develop study discipline, and build genuine interest in the subject. Who My Lessons Are For I work with secondary school and sixth-form/college students (ages 13–19), as well as undergraduate and adult learners looking to strengthen their subject knowledge or prepare for professional exams.
