About Ian
I hold a BSc hons in Astrophysics and PGCE from Manchester University. I’ve been teaching physics since 1990, both GCSE and A level. I have also been Head of Science. I retired from classroom teaching in 2020, but I'm still an examiner for both GCSE and A level physics, so I am very familiar with use and interpretation of mark schemes. Some of my A level students and I have been successful at a national level. One competition win resulted in a visit to CERN for the switch on of the LHC international particle accelerator. I have excellent references available from numerous past students, explaining how I have helped them improve grades.

BSc hons in Astrophysics and PGCE from Manchester University. I’ve been teaching physics since 1990, both GCSE and A level. I have also been Head of Science. Examiner for both GCSE and A level physics. online tutor for seven years and during this time have taught A level and GCSE physics from most exam boards. I work using Bitpaper interactive whiteboard, explaining content from first principles to provide a deeper understanding of concepts required for higher grades, then consolidating this understanding with past paper questions. I am semi-retired. So lesson lengths and times are very flexible.
I'm very flexible with lesson times and can dedicate more time to preparation of online lessons.I use Bitpaper online whiteboard todeliver lessons
