About Tim
I have been a teacher since my early twenties. Working on high schools in the Netherlands have been teaching physics, chemistry and math at all levels. As a side job for several years I gave courses in which I prepared students for university physics entrance test.
I have also been a rowing coach and a soccer coach in my spare time.
As you can see, education has always been a big part of my life. I believe in personal growth and love to help people find out what they can accomplish with the right support.
During the covid period I discovered the potential of online teaching and recently I have decided to leave the classroom and focus on tutoring instead. This gives me the advantage to teach students from all over the world (physics, math and chemistry doesn't change) from any location I desire. As a family, I'm a father of two girls, we would like to see more of the world and explore different countries and cultures.

As a tutor I am used to listening to my students, finding out where their problems lie.
I always start with the theory behind the problem, putting it into perspective. After that the focus is on understanding the specific problem that the student is dealing with (what is going on), the solution options (what are my possibilities) and how to write down your solution (reporting).
I use Miro Whiteboards as a visual aid; drawing and writing, which I share real time in google.meet. Notes can be shared by email afterwards.
