About Faye
I am a Physics tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and an MSc in Astrophysics. My passion lies in the history of physics and the groundbreaking experiments that have shaped our understanding of the universe. I love exploring Galileo’s experiments, Newton’s laws, Maxwell’s equations, and the discoveries of the quantum revolution with my students. I aim to make each lesson more than just formulas and calculations. We dive into the stories behind the science, understanding the curiosity and intellectual bravery that drove these discoveries. I guide students to appreciate the scientific method and the importance of questioning and experimenting. Lessons are interactive, encouraging critical thinking and reflection on the evolution of ideas. Through discussions and demonstrations, I help students connect historical breakthroughs to modern physics concepts. I focus on nurturing curiosity while strengthening problem-solving and analytical skills. My goal is to make physics both inspiring and accessible. My teaching approach in physics combines strong conceptual understanding with hands-on computational exploration. I cover topics including computer modelling in physics, data visualisation, numerical methods, and the basics of scientific programming. Lessons are structured to build knowledge step by step, making complex concepts approachable. I emphasise problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills alongside technical knowledge. Students are encouraged to celebrate their computational skills as they explore physical phenomena. I provide tailored guidance to ensure understanding is deep and lasting. Simulations and coding exercises help students connect theory with practice. I support learners in preparing for exams, assignments, and research projects. Together, we work to make physics engaging, intuitive, and applicable. My goal is to help students excel and gain confidence in both physics and computational methods.
