About Louis
I'm a keen chess and e-sports player, and enjoy watching maths and physics-related videos in my spare time (when I can find it). I take good care over curated lesson plans and resources for students, and also like to set homework for reiteration (which is essential to learning). I like to help develop problem solving skills, by directing the student to discover ideas themselves, not just telling them. I find this leads to a much more interesting, exciting and therefore more memorable way of learning.

Having recently achieved 4 A* at A-level and gone through university assessments, I have many useful tips, tricks and methods to learning good habits and how to answer questions. Lessons will typically last an hour. I tend to go through a topic from scratch, use Desmos and graphing tools to help visualise maths (which students have found very helpful), and then practise questions near the end of the lesson, leaving the student to their own devices to test their problem solving. Ideally aimed at GCSE and A-level or University preparations. I have been tutoring for 2 years now, and have been recommended as a tutor that aims to stretch their thinking and urge them to discover mathematics themselves.
