About Riya
I am an undergraduate studying Physics with Astrophysics at the University of Warwick. My lifelong dream is to work with ESA for the advancement of space travel. I am currently an advocate for the EAGLE team in the Space Generation Association Council, where young professionals such as myself debate on space safety and sustainability to high-level leaders at the United Nations. Humans are intrinsically curious; thus I believe that we all have the capacity to inspire and leave a mark in this world. I truly hope my students also aim to inspire and excel in their studies so they too can leave a mark.

I teach A Level and GCSE English Literature, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. I also specialise in teaching KS2 Mathematics, English and Science.
My lessons are one hour each and dependent on what the student is struggling with. If the student wishes to develop their skills, I will provide them with more challenging postulates and questions to advance the students' critical thinking. I aim to teach through exam practice and active learning as opposed to passive lessons given to the students.
A typical lesson is as follows:
- prior to the lesson, students may give a subject they struggle with/or are interested to know more about
- I provide them with resources and teach them so that they fully understand the topic
- I immediately test them on their knowledge through questions or quizzes
- I'll then provide homework that can deepen their knowledge.
If the student learns better through a different method, as all students learn differently, I will do my best to make sure that all my students have a full understanding of the topics they struggle on and enjoy themselves.
