About Holly
I took Chemistry and Biology both at A level with 2 A's as well as a B in French. At GCSE level I received 9A* and and A in mathematics, taking triple science. I am currently studying Physiotherapy at the University of Southampton.
I have a deep passion for Biology , both human and plant , and enjoy sharing it with others by tutoring both Biology and Chemistry up to GCSE level for the past 3 years . I would nothing more than to instil a passion for the living world in others.
Since being a snowboard instructor in Canada for two years I fell in love with tutoring children and it inspired me to continue teaching and tutoring. During school I was a Sargent in the Air Cadets and oversaw bush craft , weapons handling and overnight campouts for 150 young cadets.
Being the Head of Chappel house in my final year allowed me to connect with younger students and start a pupil safeguarding clinic , which was thoroughly rewarding.

I enjoy teaching and have previously tutored children in both Chemistry and Biology up to GCSE level. During my own A levels I ran a "mad science show" for children with learning and physical disabilities at a local specialised school.
I have worked in the childcare sector as a snowboard instructor for two years and understand the importance of using various games and questions to keep children engaged - I want the lesson to be fun and one they look forward to coming back to . I like to keep lessons to around 40 mins - 1 hour to keep them engaged the whole time however I am flexible to the client.
I find that problem based learning and organising a lesson around a problem from which we learn various themes and topics around it allow students to enjoy the process. By allowing the student to lead the lesson and finding what concerns them , I want them to end the lesson with no anxiety surrounding the chosen topic.
