About Jerry
Jerry currently enjoys his diverse music career working as a piano teacher, concert pianist, piano accompanist, composer, orchestrator and an arranger.
His recent performance highlights include his piano recording in one of Commonwealth Game Theme Music ‘We Are One’ with The People’s Orchestra, a live piano recital recorded by the UK most famous Classical records: Meridian Records. He gave his concerto debut playing Rachmaninov’s Second Piano Concerto with Peter Le Tissier and Englefield Green Festival Orchestra while winning the University of London Concerto Prize. He also performed Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, and contemporary music across the UK and Asia with numerous orchestras. He specialised in piano with Matthew Stanley, Mary Dullea, Mark Bebbington, and Julian Jacobson when he was studying Music in Royal Holloway, University of London and Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
As a composer, he was a composer-in-residence for The People's Orchestra in Birmingham. He arranged and re-arranged many Classical works, television tunes, pop songs, and soundtrack. Notably: Jazz Suite No. 2 by Shostakovich, La La Land, The Nutcrackers, The Carnival of the Animals, Black Panther Symphonic Suite, Beauty and the Beast Suites, Maleficent Symphonic Suites, Harry Potter Christmas Suites etc.
His main teaching principles are to develop students’ musical sense towards different scores and music naturally, and their own ideas in the progress of music making.
Ultimately, the students can explore their possibilities while enjoying the music learning. At the same time, they can go on exploring styles and genres of music themselves.

In 5 years experience of piano teaching, my students range differently in age and level.
My main teaching principles are to develop their musical sense towards different scores and music naturally, and their own ideas in the progress of music making.
Ultimately, the students can explore their possibilities while enjoying the music learning. At the same time they can go on exploring styles and genres of music themselves.
My lessons also cover some extents of music theory, compositions, orchestrations, and music technology.
