About Oscar

I graduated with a first in Classical with Jazz music performance in 2020 from Leeds Conservatoire. Since graduating I have been teaching privately for almost 7 years. Teaching music lessons for a number of years has enabled me to organise, plan and orchestrate succinct piano lessons to students of all backgrounds, levels and ages. With students ranging in age from 7 - 70, I teach both classical and jazz styles, but like to streamline my lessons to fit the specific student's needs. I also teach music composition and theory, something which ties intrinsically with one's playing ability. I have taken jobs in the past where I had to compose music to a brief, be it a dance music track, or a minimalist solo piano track, it's important to understand how you might compose both and the theory behind the composition. I play a range of music when I perform live. I often play jazz piano sets in bars and restaurants all around London, and put on club nights, so have some experience with lots of different parts of the music industry. I am eager to apply myself to teaching and welcome all students to facilitate their requirements. I feel as though I will be able to demonstrate my confidence and strong communication skills successfully if given the chance. I offer my first trial lesson at half price and with no further obligations so we can meet each other and you can decide if you think it's right for you. Please don't hesitate to get in contact through email for enquiries or questions.

Oscar has been teaching me jazz piano for the past year and a half. He is quite simply the best teacher I’ve ever had. I find his lessons inspiring - his joy for teaching clearly comes across in his lessons. His lessons are always well prepared and he remains patient and receptive to my learning needs.
