About Ginela
As a teen I auditioned and attended an Arts High School called Cawthra Park in Mississauga, Ontario.
After that, I was accepted to Metalworks Institute of Sound and Music Production in Mississauga, where I graduated in 2013 from the Vocal Performance and Technology program.
Currently, I work full time as a music coach and work on recording my own music in my remaining time.
Although life as a musician comes with many challenges, I will say that I could not have chosen any other path in this life. This is truly what I love.

I get how tricky it is trying to learn sheet music & music theory, when you just want to get going and play a full song already!
With me, you will get to play the popular songs you love much faster because of the way I simplify it for your comfort level. Don't be shy! You got this! I was once that kid in music class in high school that had absolutely no clue how to read the notes on the page, so I used my own blend of learning by ear as well as notes to get by. And now as an adult, I use the piano/keyboard more as an amazing songwriting tool.
There's always more than one way to learn a song. You can learn the basic structure of it through chords, and then once you're more comfortable with the whole form of the song, you can start adding in your favourite riffs and motifs that stand out to you.
Say you love a certain song but it sounds too complicated, well, the good thing is you can do you own stripped-down version of it with less tricky changes and easier chord substitutions.
I use a lot of colour -coding to explain things and I love to add stickers on the piano keys I need to remember most. I find this really helps my students, and when they are comfortable with the song after some practice, they feel so happy when they can finally do the song without any stickers!
