About Ree
I am a passionate piano tutor with 7 years of experience and a record of successfully teaching around 300 students. My learners include high school students, college learners, and adults who want to improve their technical skills, musical understanding, and performance confidence. Teaching piano allows me to combine guidance, mentorship, and encouragement to help students grow both as musicians and individuals.
My teaching philosophy is built on strong foundations and consistent progress. I emphasise posture, hand coordination, finger independence, scales, rhythm, sight-reading, and musical expression. I ensure students understand both the technical and emotional aspects of each piece, helping them connect deeply with music.
Lessons are structured with warm-ups, technique exercises, theory integration, and repertoire practice. I also teach effective at-home practice strategies to maintain steady improvement. Many of my students have performed successfully in recitals, school programmes, and public events, while several have earned high distinctions in graded music examinations.
My goal is to develop confident, expressive, and skilled pianists who enjoy learning music and continue progressing throughout their journey.

My piano teaching philosophy centres on personalisation, flexibility, collaboration, and positivity. I carefully observe how each student learns and adapt my lessons to meet their needs. This helps build strong understanding and confidence.
I focus on technical development such as correct posture, finger strength, rhythm clarity, and smooth hand coordination. I use creative exercises to improve listening skills and musical expression. When challenges arise, I provide patient support and alternative explanations.
Collaboration allows students to feel involved in their progress. We set achievable goals and select music that inspires them. A positive learning environment encourages creativity and steady improvement.
Besides piano, I also teach music theory, sight-reading, keyboard harmony, and beginner composition. These related subjects deepen musical knowledge and support long-term success. My goal is to guide students towards becoming confident, skilled, and passionate musicians.
