As a seasoned music educator and performer with over ten years of experience, I've cultivated a profound passion for sharing the richness of musicology with others. With expertise spanning the piano, guitar and the saxophone. I've had the privilege of connecting with students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels; from children to older adults. My philosophy is rooted in the belief that music is a potent medium for self-expression and personal growth. By merging technical proficiency with creative exploration, I empower my students to uncover their unique musical voices and styles. My teaching approach is tailored to each student's needs, incorporating music theory lessons using tonic solfa and sheet music. I adopt a flexible and progressive teaching style tailored to each student's goals and pace. My lessons combine technical development (scales, arpeggios, finger exercises) with creative expression (improvisation, interpretation, and repertoire building). I emphasize ear training, sight-reading, and music theory as core elements, ensuring students don't just play, but understand the music they're performing.
Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson begins with a warm-up and review of previously assigned material.
