About Mara
My passion for piano began in childhood, sparked by the emotional power of melodies and harmonies. Over the past decade, I’ve dedicated myself to teaching students of all ages, helping each one develop the skills, discipline, and artistic sensitivity needed to grow as musicians. Teaching has allowed me to share the joy of discovery and the satisfaction that comes from mastering an instrument. I bring patience, structure, and enthusiasm to every class. I believe that each student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching method to their abilities and aspirations. Whether guiding learners through technique, interpretation, or performance preparation, I focus on creating a positive, engaging, and motivating environment. I encourage creativity, independent thinking, and mindful practice habits that support long-term success. Outside teaching, I stay involved in performance, recording, and continuous study to strengthen my understanding of piano pedagogy. Music is a lifelong companion for me, and sharing that passion with students is one of my greatest joys. Watching them develop confidence, artistry, and dedication reminds me why I chose this path and continues to inspire my teaching journey.

My piano lessons are designed to help students grow as musicians who understand both the mechanics and the emotion behind music. Each lesson balances technique with creativity, allowing learners to build strong foundations while discovering their personal artistic style. I emphasise hand posture, rhythmic accuracy, note reading, and expressive phrasing to create a well-rounded learning experience. Beginners develop essential skills through simple pieces, finger exercises, and introductory music theory. Intermediate students move into scales, arpeggios, stylistic interpretation, and expressive performance. Advanced learners work on complex repertoire, improvisation, and dynamic control. Lessons also include sight-reading, ear-training, and composition activities to strengthen musical intuition. Assignments are customised for exam preparation, school performances, or personal growth. Piano lessons aim to help students develop both skill and confidence, empowering them to express themselves through music. Many learners have progressed into competitions, school ensembles, and advanced musical studies, gaining an appreciation for discipline and creativity. My goal is to cultivate independent musicians who can perform with emotion, interpret music deeply, and enjoy the lifelong journey of learning the piano.
