About Kenneth
I began taking piano lessons when I was 5 years old. My father was a pastor of a church in West Texas. I began playing for children's church when 12, and for the main servicers at 15 years of age. One of the unique approaches that I use, I arrange music, according to the ability of the student. Some favorites cannot be found at their level, but I arrange the sheet music for them. I also teach chord improvisation, Jazz, blues, and gospel "licks" to enhance the quality of the music. My lessons focused on meeting the students desires and needs. I have learned that students practice the music they love, I do my best to work with them on their favorite tunes or styles of music. With me, lessons are serious, but enjoyable. There are no rulers across the knuckles when there is a mistake, as I received as a child. I advocate confidence and praise for the accomplishments of students.

I genuinely care for my students and teach each one as unique in their desire and approach. As a "working musician,", I perform in my own concerts, as well as, churches, restaurants, resorts, etc. One of my most successful categories is teaching vocalists to accompany themselves or teaching to accompany through improvisational techniques. My youngest student was 3 years old when she started and my oldest was 92 years old, teaching her to play an accordion that had been passed to her through a death in the family. I love to play and perform, but my passion is teaching. There is no greater reward than witnessing students reach their goals in music ability. I have former students in professional positions throughout the country. I am confident my students will meet their goals and expectations as a musician.
