About Abhinath
I hold a Bachelor of Music with Honours (first class) in piano performance and composition from the School of Performing Arts, Otago. My performances across New Zealand have garnered much critical acclaim, and I have been praised for possessing a "truly formidable technical virtuosity." I have won many awards including the FAME Emerging Practitioner Award, a WSNZ Young Artists' Award and the Victor Galway Medal. I have also won awards as a composer including the Lilburn Composition Prize.

Lessons will have a focus on assiduous work towards developing a strong piano technique, and an understanding of musical periods and styles. There will be a particular focus on learning how to play effortlessly and without tension, while producing a beautiful, refined sound at the instrument.
My lessons are for everyone - regardless of age or level. Beginners will benefit from a strong start and avoiding developing any bad habits. More experience players can work towards developing, refining, or even rebuilding their playing to achieve greater command of the piano.
Lessons can be 30 mins or 1 hour.
