About Gabriella
My journey as a piano teacher began through a love of collaborative music making and performance. I completed a Bachelor of Music in Keyboard Studies before earning a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy. During the past 8 years, I have worked with students from many backgrounds and age groups. These experiences taught me the value of patient instruction and personalized guidance. Helping learners gain confidence at the keyboard remains one of my greatest professional rewards.
I enjoy creating lessons that balance technical growth with musical enjoyment. Rather than focusing only on accuracy, I help students understand expression, rhythm, and communication through music. My teaching style is encouraging and structured. Students receive clear explanations, practical exercises, and supportive feedback. I believe consistent progress comes from understanding concepts rather than memorizing instructions. This philosophy helps learners develop long-term confidence.
Outside teaching, I enjoy accompanying ensembles, studying educational methods, and exploring new piano repertoire. These interests bring fresh ideas into my lessons and help me stay connected to different musical styles. Watching students grow from beginners into confident performers is deeply rewarding. I look forward to helping every learner discover their own musical voice and build lasting piano skills.

I believe piano learning should feel natural from the very first lesson. My classes focus on developing finger independence, reading fluency, rhythm accuracy, chord recognition, and confident keyboard navigation. Students learn through practical playing activities rather than endless theory drills. I introduce scales, sight reading, accompaniment patterns, ear training, and duet exercises in a way that keeps lessons engaging. Every concept is connected to real music so learners can understand how skills work together. This approach helps students develop strong musical foundations while enjoying the learning process.
Lessons are adapted to each learner’s goals and experience level. Some students want to play modern songs, while others enjoy classical pieces or community performances. I use rhythm games, keyboard coordination exercises, and structured practice methods to build confidence steadily. Students who enjoy leading music in groups receive guidance in accompaniment and timing. Those interested in popular styles learn how to play smoothly and expressively. Progress is measured through achievable milestones that make learning rewarding.
My goal is to help students become independent musicians. They learn to read music comfortably, maintain steady rhythm, and perform with confidence. Over time, students develop stronger listening skills and greater musical awareness. Each lesson encourages creativity, consistency, and enjoyment. I want learners to leave every session feeling motivated, capable, and excited to continue their musical journey.
