Our two sons have been taking piano lessons with David Holland for many years. He is very good with kids, teens, and of course parents.

He provides special attention and feedback of physical technique for playing specific types and styles of pieces. He emphasizes musicality and provides especially good feedback. I can hear what a big difference this makes for to students both in enthusiasm and results.

He uses and explains in proper musical terminology, not talking down to his students. He is well versed in all styles of music of interest to our sons. We also appreciate his answers to questions of music theory and historical background details he provides.

David is an exceptional teacher. My 7 year old son is unique and needed a teacher that would understand him as both a student and a child. David is very communicative. I attend every lesson with my son and David speaks to us both so we have a clear understanding of what needs to be worked on. Having a teacher who cares and gets to know his students as well as David does is exactly what we were looking for. David keeps my son challenged, yet at the same time, he knows when to pull back so that my son doesn’t feel overwhelmed. It takes an experienced teacher to have such awareness.
