The PROCESS of a lesson can vary depending on the student's level of proficiency here is a general outline:
1. Warm-up: Help the student get their fingers moving and to loosen up any tension in their hands and arms.
2. Review: Review the material covered in the previous lesson to ensure that the student has mastered the concepts.
3. New material: Introduce new material, such as a new piece of music or a new concept in music theory. Demonstrate the piece or concept and explain how to play or understand it.
4. Practice: The student will practice the new material under my guidance.
5. Assignments: Assign homework for the students to practice before the next lesson.
GOALS & ATMOSPHERE:
- Help students to understand musical concepts and develop their sight-reading and ear-training skills
- Customize lessons to meet individual needs and interests
- Student-centered, and strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment
