Hi, I’m a piano tutor with 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition, with a Piano Emphasis. Alongside teaching, I actively work as a composer and performer, which gives my lessons a creative, real-world focus. I see music as a lifelong journey—one that invites curiosity, expression, and continuous growth. I specialize in helping students create their own improvisations and spontaneous compositions, no matter their level. Whether you're just starting or have years of playing behind you, I support your musical voice from day one. My lessons balance solid technique with freedom at the keyboard, blending structure and creativity. We explore everything from harmonic progressions and melodic development to storytelling through music. I encourage students to take risks, try new ideas, and build the confidence to make music in the moment. I work with both beginners learning foundational skills and advanced players looking to expand their compositional toolkit. Every lesson is designed to inspire and challenge in equal measure. I place strong emphasis on managing performance anxiety through breathing exercises, mental preparation, and simulated performance practice. We also work on developing stage presence—how to walk on stage, present yourself, and connect with listeners. I teach memorization techniques that make learning music more secure and reliable, especially for recitals and auditions.
For students preparing for exams or performing in religious settings, I tailor lessons to meet those unique needs. Together, we build dependable practice routines and rehearsal habits that support long-term growth. I help students select meaningful repertoire and shape it into a performance that tells a story.
