Working with creative writers alongside curious hobbyists means treating every lesson as an opportunity for genuine expression, not just correction. I never reduce language purely to rules, since real fluency eventually depends on comfort with nuance and tone as well. What I find most rewarding is watching a hobbyist proudly share a short piece of writing they created entirely in Spanish. That personal ownership over language often means more than flawless grammar ever could.
I stay closely engaged with Spanish literature and music, regularly reading and listening purely for personal enjoyment. This keeps my teaching genuinely inspired and connected to language as something living, not static.
