About Patrick
A PhD graduate in Creative Writing-Poetry, I have taught at the collegiate level for the past 20 years. I've published in many journals, including Kenyon Review, The Threepenny Review, Boston Review and many other places. I have a book of poetry available for purchase, and I keep an active writing and publishing schedule in multiple genres.

In order to improve as a writer, you must focus on two things: reading closely and writing often. A lesson will typically consist of prompts, exercises to develop the prompts, one-on-one commentary on each submitted written piece, and discussions about revision, submission, and potential publication (or if you're a student, how to excel in your classes to get that A or scholarship). Anyone can learn how to write better, from teens to retirees! I've worked with all groups with great success.
