About Rosie
I've always had a passion for English Literature and essay writing. Throughout school, I particularly enjoyed analysing texts, exploring different interpretations, and developing strong written arguments. Reading and writing have remained interests of mine beyond the classroom, and I enjoy helping others build the confidence to express their ideas clearly and effectively.
I graduated from the University of Warwick with a First Class degree in Politics, where essay writing, critical analysis, and clear communication were at the heart of my studies. Combined with my A Levels in English Literature, Politics, and Psychology, this has given me a strong academic foundation that I now use to support students in achieving their own goals.
Alongside my academic background, I have over five years of experience as a swimming teacher. This has taught me how to communicate clearly, adapt my teaching style to suit different learners, and create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills at their own pace.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to make lessons engaging, encouraging, and tailored to individual needs. My teaching focuses on breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps. For English Literature, I help students develop a deeper understanding of texts, themes, characters, and literary techniques while improving their ability to construct well-structured, analytical essays. I also provide guidance on exam technique, planning responses, and writing with clarity and precision.
I hold a First Class BA in Politics from the University of Warwick and achieved A Levels in English Literature, Politics, and Psychology. My academic background has given me extensive experience in research, critical thinking, and producing high-quality essays with skills I enjoy helping students develop themselves.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and are carefully planned to suit each student's learning style and objectives. I work primarily with GCSE and A Level students, whether they need ongoing academic support, exam preparation, or help improving their essay writing and analytical skills.
