About
I am a student in their final year of a Politics and International Relations degree. I am also about to start training to become a Primary School Teacher, and thus have already developed many skills needed to teach effectively.
I have 3 years of experience working with children in the classroom which has given me a great understanding of what the role of a teacher (or tutor) entails. This makes me the perfect candidate to tutor as not only do I have a real passion and want to see people succeed in education but it has given me a host of teaching specific skills (lesson planning, understanding pupil stress etc.) that others my age do not obtain. Furthermore, I have a good understanding of how the education system works in Scotland as a result of my school experiences, enabling me to be an effective tutor.
I have also volunteered with after school clubs and worked as a young leader within the Scouting Association which has developed my ability to communicate with both young people and adults alike, ensuring a positive experience for all.

Child welfare is of paramount importance to me, thus my lessons are based heavily on personalisation and choice to allow the student to learn in a productive environment conducive to their learning. Taking individual children’s environment, skills and potential ability into account allows me to teach effectively and ensure I am continually providing a quality service. My lessons are based on the Scottish Government’s Curriculum for Excellence to ensure that students are being taught the most up to date and relevant information.
