  I am a native Spanish speaker. I was born in Spain.

  Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra was a Spanish writer who is widely regarded as the greatest writer in the Spanish language and one of the world's pre-eminent novelists. His novel Don Quixote has been translated into over 140 languages and dialects; it is, after the Bible, the most-translated book in the world

• Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

  A la tercera va la vencida : Third time lucky

• Why does speaking this language matter to you?

  It is a global language and the world's second-most spoken native language, after Mandarin Chinese

• What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

  Gender, pronouns and verbs tenses.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

  I used to be very bad at English at the school but when l moved to UK l discover myself learning English very fast.

• How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

  There is 32 countries to travel: Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Colombia,etc. Total immersion is the best and faster way to learn. Traveling is the funniest way to improve the knowledge of any language, talking to locals, enjoying the city and the culture.
