About Makeda
Hello! I'm Makeda. I graduated from Pomona College in 2022 with a degree in Environmental Analysis, and am now tutoring writing. Growing up, English and science were my favorite subjects. I believe it was my writing that got me into such a prestigious college. That is why I want to help other students develop their voice in writing. My experience has been that if you know how to tell your story, it can take you farther than you imagine possible. I look forward to connecting with you!

I love the process of helping others find their unique writing voice. In my tutoring, I focus on assisting students in utilizing the magic of detailed imagery and other figurative devices to make any writing style come to life. I am skilled in editing and assisting students in clarifying the purpose of their writing. Putting one's voice in words does not come naturally for everyone, but we all have a voice to share.
