About Ash
I'm a music professional of 20 years, with lots of experience in different areas of the industry. This gives me a great foundation with which to teach from.
I've played at major UK venues and festivals (including Glastonbury!) and recorded at top London studios. I've also produced records, solo and collaboratively, all working in many different genres including jazz, reggae, afrobeat, pop, rock, metal/punk, lo-fi and electronic/EDM.
I'm also a freelance audio engineer (mixing & mastering) and music producer who works with artists and labels all over the world, as well as a music production mentor.

I offer flexible, individual-led tuition, tailored to your goals and needs. My lessons are fun, accessible and informal, allowing you to feel at ease and enjoy the learning process.
My teaching style is to be supportive, encouraging but also challenge when necessary - to deepen the student's natural curiosity and motivation to learn and succeed.
My lessons are for all ages above 10 years old, and all levels, and typically last 1 hour but can be 30 minute, 45 minute, or 1.5 hours.
I am a well-seasoned tutor and teacher, having taught music as a private tutor, in schools and for adult education and university for over 15 years, with a Masters degree in my subject area.
