About VISHNU

Hello! I’m Vishnu, a passionate artist and Civil Design Engineer with a Diploma in Fine Arts from Universal Arts, Calicut, India.

My love for art began in childhood, and over the years, I have developed my skills in watercolour painting, oil painting, and pencil drawing through continuous practice and exploration. During my school and college years in India, I won numerous prizes for my artwork, and my work has been exhibited at the Kerala Lalithakala Academy Art Gallery in Calicut.

Alongside my engineering career, art has remained an important part of my life. I also have experience teaching art to students in India, and I enjoy helping people discover their creativity, develop their skills, and express themselves through art.

My goal is to make learning art enjoyable, accessible, and rewarding. Whether you are a complete beginner, a young aspiring artist, or an adult looking to develop a creative hobby, I will guide you patiently at your own pace.

I offer friendly, personalised art lessons in Cork and online, tailored to your interests, experience, and goals. Let’s explore the wonderful world of art together!

About the lesson

Discover your creativity with personalised art lessons!

Whether you are picking up a pencil or paintbrush for the first time or looking to refine your existing skills, my lessons are designed around your individual needs, interests, and learning pace.

What you can learn

- Pencil Drawing: Learn basic shapes, proportions, line work, perspective, shading, and realistic drawing techniques.
- Watercolour Painting: Explore colour mixing, washes, brush techniques, layering, light, and transparency.
- Oil Painting: Understand colour theory, blending, brushwork, layering, texture, and composition.
- Art and Design: Develop your understanding of composition, form, colour harmony, creativity, and visual expression.

My teaching approach

I begin by understanding your current skill level and what you hope to achieve. We then work through practical exercises and demonstrations, building your confidence and skills step by step.

My lessons combine essential artistic principles with hands-on practice, allowing you to apply what you learn and gradually develop your own artistic style.

Who are the lessons for?

- Beginners who want to learn drawing and painting from scratch.
- Children and teenagers who enjoy art and want to improve their skills.
- Students preparing artwork for school projects or art competitions.
- Adults who want to explore a new hobby or rediscover their creativity.
- Intermediate learners who want to strengthen their drawing and painting techniques.

Where can we learn?

I offer in-person lessons in the Cork area, including lessons at your home where practical, as well as online sessions.

My aim is to create a relaxed, supportive learning environment where you can experiment, learn from mistakes, and enjoy the creative process.

Ready to begin your artistic journey?

Book your first lesson and let’s work together to bring your ideas to life, one drawing or painting at a time!
