About Akalya
I have just graduated from Junior College and have a long break ahead of me, which is why I am hoping to use this time to explore every interest I have had and to hopefully cultivate a career out of it. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, but unfortunately, due to schooling and CCA, I could only make time for an hour per week to teach primary school students English in a community center. I believe in growing study habits from a young age, as it will always be something to fall back on when what students learn changes drastically as they change schools, hence why my lessons are never set in stone, and I hope that every student I teach feels heard and heavily supported by me.

I am a post A-Level graduate who has consistently done well in Math and Science/Physics, and am offering tuition for Primary and Secondary students. My lessons are tailored to each student, allowing them to learn in the most productive way possible within a 2-hour session. Although I am new to formal tutoring, I have volunteered at community centers to teach students in my free time, and I genuinely enjoy helping others learn. My goal is to build confidence and help students find their most optimal studying methods to study well on their own eventually.
