About Umar
My name is Umar and I am a gap year student applying to medicine. I am currently working at a GP practice alongside medical students and consultants. I love the job as the instant gratification the patients get, motivates me to keep putting a smile on their faces. This also relates with tutoring and the reason I have been tutoring for 6 years now is getting a sense of achievement that I have made a positive impact in someone's life.
At GCSE, I achieved 8A* and at A Level, I achieved A*AA in Biology, Chemistry, and Business.

I am confident that I can help improve my students by using experience I have gathered in this field so far.
My lessons will be organised and each one hour lesson requires an hour of preparation before. This ensures I can give the best possible help to my students during the lessons.
My lessons are very interactive and I encourage the concept of finding the answer by giving small hints rather than revealing the answer straight away.
I am very versatile in how I deliver my lessons as every student has their own way of learning that suits them best. I tend to find this out in the first lesson which allows me to get the best out of every student.
The key to success in exams is to start revision early and cover each topic in detail. Then it is all about getting as much practice as possible in the shape of exam questions and technique.
